Overview:
Hammer, the world leader in business process design, redesign and education, had spent years giving clients who attended seminars a binder filled with diagrams, notes and other materials that they would need during a particular event. The binders were extremely cumbersome and inefficient; Hammer wanted to replace hundreds of pages of notes with one easy-to-use iPad application.

Solution:
The first stage was architecting a dynamic publishing platform to power the iPad application. By having a CMS as the backbone for the app, Convertiv was able to give
Hammer complete control of user and content permissioning, allowing Hammer to give each user a different instance of the application on each user’s iPad.
The second stage was to develop a Hammer iPad application that not only increased client involvement during the seminars, but also encouraged clients to continue studying by presenting the materials long after the seminar was over. There’s something special about seeing a presentation slide in its natural environment rather than on a projector or in a paper binder.
Going Forward:
The end result of this initiative will be to build and nurture an online business process community, setting the foundation for networking, discussing issues in process design and developing solutions to specific or industry problems. This new online business process community will utilize the latest technologies, while the iPad will be the window into this world.
