I hear you and cool platform. Social TV is picking up steam and the TV is how middle America absorbs its information. In my opinion it is a logical marriage of old and new. I use the boxee bookmarklet browser plugin and watch all video content at night while I crank on my computer.

Great article. The whole thing about Many-To-One is very true.

You'd get a kick out of what Spot411 is doing with their social TV platform. They're working on making things related but disconnected from your television, you mention a 'third social screen' which is kind of overkill. A 'second screen' is really all that is needed, (iphone, laptop, etc) that most people have with them when they're watching a TV show. Facebook and twitter for watching TV, and even the models of communication that they use are imperfect solutions.

Highly suggest signing up for the beta for Spot411. http://my.spot411.com/register
