Building Online Community with WordPress Multisite


NSTAR, a northeast utility company, needed a  strategy, approach and platform to engage and grow its online community across several dozen targeted audiences with a new home energy efficiency website.


Convertiv quickly developed a WordPress multisite in partnership with Fresh Tilled Soil for website marketing, blogging, and search engine optimization. Additional content syndication functionality included local events and home energy tips targeting specific geographical audiences.


Community organziers now have the ability to add local content and respond in real time to its online community through the centralized administration of their microsites without the involvement of NSTAR’s IT resources.
